What to Expect at Your First Appointment
When you visit us for your hearing healthcare, you will always be treated like family.
- We always begin each appointment with a conversation to get to know you. Our goal is to understand your whole hearing health and what has brought you in to see us.
- We will start with an ear exam, looking inside your ears at the eardrum and ear canal. This allows us to determine if built-up earwax is the cause of your hearing loss.
- Once we’ve determined your ears are clear, then we can begin the hearing exam. We will assess your ability to hear certain tones and frequencies at various volumes as well as how well you can hear speech in noise and quiet.
- We will go over your results and answer any questions you may have. If you are a good candidate for hearing aids, we will go over which options we think would best help you.
